Children of God (C.O.G.) Program:

C.O.G. was birthed out of the sports camp.  C.O.G. was started to have an ongoing relationship and impact with children throughout the year.  Children in this program.  C.O.G. normally meets one or two Satudays a month.  The main focuses of C.O.G. is spiritual development, leadership development and life-skill development.  We try to teach leadership and life-skills through active learning.  Through active learning, the participants learn about a particular skill by participating in a fun actiivity.  Spiritual development is accomplished through regular times of Bible Study and worship.  Each time we meet, we have times of worship, and breakfast and lunch is provided to the children.  For the participants who complete their Bible Studies, we periodically have a fun Saturday, where we will go on field trips.  Previous field trips have included the Texas Tech Museum, the corn maze, bowling, and Texas Tech Athletic events.  We also try to do community service projects when possible.  We eventually would like to help more with academic development as well.  Volunteers are needed to help with llife skill and leader ship development, cooking the meals, and with field trips and community service projects.
